On June 19, 2022, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) launched a Eucharistic Revival initiative. On June 11, 2023 the country enters a phase which will more directly impact parish celebrations and formation efforts. With this campaign, we will recommit ourselves to our Eucharistic identity and will reaffirm our faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. We believe that the best way to increase faith in the Eucharist is the full and authentic celebration of the Mass – the source and summit of our faith (Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 10). Adoration of the Eucharist flows from the Mass and leads us back to it.

This booklet is one of several resources, website postings, and formation opportunities which the Federation is providing during the Eucharistic Revival.

    • 2023 Priests Retreat

THE THEOLOGY OF THE BODY INSTITUTE PRESENTS

      November 13 - 17, 2023
San Pedro Retreat Center - Orlando, Florida

The Theology of the Body Institute is excited to announce the return of our Clergy Enrichment Program retreats! The mission of In the Person of Christ is to enrich the vocation of the priesthood of the Catholic Church with the teaching of Pope Saint John Paul II's Theology of the Body.

The Clergy Enrichment Program offers priests the opportunity to learn the Theology of the Body through a program created by priests, for priests, and to apply it directly to their lives of priestly identity, prayer, and mission.

All of our week-long retreat seminars are designed and facilitated by subject matter experts and are surrounded by fellowship, prayer and celebration of the Sacraments. There are opportunities for daily confession, spiritual direction, adoration, liturgy of the hours, and celebration of the Holy Mass. Our retreats offer priests a respite from the hurried daily life of living their priesthood, with time for rest and contemplation, as well as priestly fraternity.

Our flagship retreat, Theology of the Body and Priestly Identity, will be presented November 13-17, 2023 in Orlando, Florida, by Reverend Brett Brannen. Father Brett is a priest of the Diocese of Savannah, instructor on Priestly Identity for the Institute for Priestly Formation, parish priest, author of To Save A Thousand Souls: A Guide for Discerning a Vocation to Diocesan Priesthood and is a Spiritual Director at The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. I am grateful to be joining Father Brannen as a co-presenter of the retreat!

We would love to have you join us and your brother priests - providentially, right before the rush of Advent begins - to enrich your priesthood with the Theology of the Body and contemplate how that applies to your identities as son, brother, bridegoom, and spiritual father.

Please click below for more information and to register. Please Note: We are offering a $100 savings if you register before May 1st! You can
    • Year of Grace

The  Year of Grace has been published by the Office of Worship of the Archdiocese. It is intended as a quick reference guide for those responsible for and who assist with the preparation of the liturgy.

To download the  YEAR OF GRACE 2022 document, click HERE.

The Office of Worship has published a Quick Guide to Wedding Masses on Fridays and Saturdays.  The hope is that whoever is responsible for helping the couples select the time and date for their wedding can be aware that the selection of an evening Mass time/ particular day is impacted by the rubrics.   Here is a quick reference guide as to whether the nuptial prayers and readings can be used.

    • Basic Plan for the Ongoing Formation of Priests

This document is the basic plan of ongoing formation for priests who count themselves among other believers but who also stand and serve in a unique way in the Church of Christ, conformed to Christ as his sacramental representatives in the presbyteral order. God invites them to transformation across their lifetime, and their formation is marked by constant elements at every stage of life. At the same time, there are specific formational challenges that emerge in particular seasons of their priestly ministry. Both the constant and the changing elements of formation are included in the basic plan.
